EXPAND COOPERATION IN THE WATER AND ENERGY SECTORS<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>April 6, 2026, Dushanbe \u2013 The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, Daler Juma, held a meeting with Jiangfeng Zhang, Director of the Agriculture, Food, Nature, and Rural Development Sector Office of the Asian Development Bank.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation, including effective and sustainable water resources management, rational use of hydropower potential, and implementation of joint projects.<\/p>\n<p>Particular attention was paid to the effective management of the water resources of the \u201cBahri Tojik\u201d reservoir, with both sides emphasizing its strategic importance in ensuring water and energy security for the country and the region.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the need to introduce modern management methods, improve monitoring systems, and enhance the efficiency of water resource utilization was specifically highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>The parties also discussed issues related to attracting investment, introducing innovative technologies, and developing sectoral capacity.
