\nMEETING WITH THE WORLD BANK DELEGATION<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

7 May 2026, Dushanbe. \u2013 The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, Daler Juma, received a World Bank delegation led by Sameh Wahba, Regional Director for Sustainable Development at the World Bank\u2019s Europe and Central Asia region.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The interlocutors discussed issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of water resources, implementing joint projects, strengthening sectoral infrastructure, and introducing digital technologies in water resource management.<\/p>\n

Special attention was paid to the reconstruction and modernization of irrigation infrastructure, increasing the efficiency of water resource use, and the implementation of modern digitalization systems.<\/p>\n

In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of developing cooperation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate change adaptation.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Minister invited the World Bank delegation to take an active part in the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028”. He highlighted the significant contribution of international partners in promoting the global water initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan.<\/p>\n
